How isolace handles your data

Plain description of what the system does. Written so a director can answer a parent's question without calling us.

What is stored

Who can see it

Your center only

Another center cannot read your students, attendance, or photos. Not for benchmarks, not for "anonymised insights", not to train anything. The center a request belongs to is derived from who is asking, never from anything the browser or app sends.

Parents see their own children

A parent's account reaches the students they are a guardian of and nothing else — not a class list, not another family's child.

A lobby tablet sees almost nothing

An enrolled kiosk can check students in and out at one center. It cannot export a roster, reach billing or settings, or see another center. A stolen tablet is worth close to nothing.

Photos and consent

A photo is only taken when the family has consented, and the flag is checked before the camera opens — not afterwards. It is checked again before any photo is shown or shared, so withdrawing consent today removes the child from what goes out tomorrow. A child whose family has not consented checks in exactly like everyone else, and is never shown a message about it.

What isolace will not do

Leaving

If your center stops using isolace, your attendance records and your evidence trail are yours to take. That is the point of keeping them per center rather than pooled.

What is not on this page yet

This describes what the software does. It is not a privacy policy or terms of service — those are legal documents, they have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and inventing them here would be worse than their absence. Retention periods, a data-processing agreement, and the GDPR / PIPEDA / CASL positions are outstanding. If your insurer or franchisor needs a specific document, ask us and you will get a straight answer about whether it exists.

isolace is an independent product for Kumon franchisees. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Kumon.
